Determining When to Say "No" (APD01)

Description
Saying no when asked to do something is one of the hardest responses to give. No one wants to be the unreliable partner, or be recognized as someone who contributes the least. Our own opinion of ourselves, yes; ego, wants to believe that we are selfless and willing to do for others, so it is always challenging to tell someone that you cannot or will not assist.

The problem with this mentality is that it leaves you feeling defeated, and discouraged. You feel like you're a bad person just because you didn't accommodate the request. This is a false conclusion drawn because of unwarranted guilt. This lesson will help to understand why saying no is an important part of your personal development and growth. It will teach how saying "no" does not equate to being a bad person or a poor human being, but a mature one who has learned how to prioritize.
